Born and raised in Middletown NY, Cathy moved to Orlando in 1983 to become the first Cancer Program Coordinator at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Eventually becoming the Administrative Director of Medical Records, she was involved in the transition to the first hospital-wide computer information system, the opening of the Ambulatory Care Center, and the construction of Dr. Phillips Hospital as well as the day-to-day operations of the department.
Cathy has been involved in a variety of community volunteer activities for many years. She is a past president of the PTSA of Lake Brantley High School. She is also active in the Orlando Jewish Community.
Her involvement with the League of Women Voters began in Seminole County in 2017 with gun advocacy being her key issue. She has been chairperson of the LWV Seminole Gun Violence Prevention Team since 2019. In June of 2022 she was named chairperson of the LWV Florida Gun Violence Prevention Action Team. She is an active member of the Speaker’s Bureau. In June of 2023 Cathy became President of the League of Women Voters of Seminole County.
Cathy met and married her husband, David, in July 1987 and together they are the proud parents of five children and six grandsons.
